TikTok Shop Commission Planner — Free Rate Tool

Work out the highest affiliate commission your unit economics can afford, then check it against the published Open and Targeted bands for your category.

The ceiling is arithmetic, not a guess

Your maximum affordable commission is what survives the unit: price less cost of goods, less shipping and fulfilment, less TikTok's referral fee (2–8% of transaction value), less the profit you intend to keep. Whatever remains is the most a creator can be paid. Knowing that number does not mean offering it — it means never setting a rate that quietly loses money on every sale.

A ceiling only means something against your category

10 categories carry published rate bands, and they are far apart: Electronics & Tech competes at 8–12% while Health & Supplements competes at 20–25%. The same 14% ceiling is generous in one and uncompetitive in the other. The planner reports your ceiling against your own category's Open Plan, Targeted Plan and sweet-spot bands rather than one site-wide average.

Three plans, not one blanket rate

The published structure runs all three at once: a Shop Plan at 8–12% for creators who find you organically, an Open Plan at 12–20% to attract active affiliates, and a Targeted Plan at 20–30% — 5–10 points above your Open Plan — for proven performers. A single flat rate overpays weak creators and underpays the ones carrying the program.

What each creator tier needs to answer

Nano-creators (1K–10K followers) need 10–15%; Micro-creators (10K–100K followers) need 15–20%; Mid-tier creators (100K–500K followers) need 18–25%; Macro-creators (500K+ followers) need 20–30%+, often with a flat fee. These are the rates that make a tier reply — not forecasts of what a tier will sell. The planner tells you which tiers your ceiling can reach and names the ones it cannot, because a rate below a tier's floor buys silence rather than cheaper sales.

What this planner does not model

GMV, creator counts, conversion rates, and what any rate will earn. There is no published GMV-by-tier corpus behind this page, so no cohort table pretends there is. Every output is arithmetic on the numbers you typed, checked against bands MomentIQ has published. For contribution per unit at a rate you have already chosen, use the unit-economics calculator at /calculator.
